Mobility Express - Assign WLAN to Specific AP

FBMTRAV

In Mobility Express, are you able to Create 2 WLANs and assign as needed to specific APs?

Example;

WLANs 1 and 2

APs 1 and 2

We need to assign WLAN1 to only be available on AP1 and vice versa. We do not want WLAN1 showing on AP2 for example.

We are using Cisco Aironet 2800 Series Mobility Express.

Thanks!

You need to run 8.6 or higher ME code for AP Groups then enter "Expert view" to configure them. What version are you running on your 2800s?

I have the same question.

Running two WLAN's on four 1832 AP's and upgraded to ME version 8.10.121.0. I would like to disable the second WLAN from one AP, but can't figure out where in expert mode the setting is located. Could you help me find the correct tab?

Hi there,

Access Point Groups are "hidden" under Expert Mode > Wireless Setting > Access Point Groups.

Create 2 groups, and assign every AP to the groups where you've configured the WLANs to be broadcasted.
