Hi Folks, i have question regarding setting mobility tunnel between wlc 9800 and 8540, i need to anchor the guest network back to 9800 wlc. my concern is if i do that would that cause any issues given that the guest network on 9800 is configured under policy tag while the guest network on 8540 is included withint AP group. is anchoring the guest network still possible?

The best way is to test.  Have you looked at any guides?  Here is one you can review:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/213912-configure-mobility-anchor-on-catalyst-98.html#toc-hId--1118893588

yes i seen this before, but it mention nothing about the case where 8540 has an Ap gorup configured while the 9800 has policy profile. i just wanted to verify before implementing.

It only terminology different between two IOS.

There's a detailed guide - it's called IRCM:

You should also make sure your software versions are up to date as per the TAC recommended link below.
