Hi
I have a problem .
Is there any easy way of mowing a large number of AP (50-100) from one”primary Controller” to another”primary controller” .
It takes to long time to move each AP individual
Regards

A radical method ...
Disable the management port of the primary WLC. This will cause your existing WAP to go to the secondary WLC (your objective).
Next, in CLI (of the secondary WLC), do the command "sh ap summary".
This will give you all the WAPs connected to the secondary WLC caused by the failure.
Copy the entire list and using cut-n-paste, you can generate a CLI to change the primary WLC details to a new one.

hi Johan
Yes but it requires WCS. You would create a ap template and add the controller name and ip and then push the template to the aps.

If you are savvy with scripts you could also create a shell script or similar that logs into the WLC via SSH and runs the CLI commands to assign the primary controller to each AP if you have a CSV list of AP names for example.
