I am fairly new to the Meraki environment so please excuse my lack of knowledge with the dashboard and equipment.
So we have a few MR46's that are registered in the dashboard but have not been connected to the Cisco network yet.
There is 1 MR46 that has been activated as a Gateway pulling a DHCP address.
I would like to extend the reach of that AP by creating a Mesh network with another MR46 acting as the Repeater.
This Repeater will not be hard wired as there is no Ethernet running to where it will be setup.
I have purchased a regular power supply (not POE) for it to be plugged in to a wall socket.
So my question is: During the initial setup of this new Repeater, do I need to hard wire it for initial network recognition and update downloads, or will it be able to do all of that by just plugging it into the power supply and letting it find the MR46 Gateway AP?
