During logon to my MS Windows domain, using a Cisco Aironet wireless client, I experience variable logon times (Step 5 - Finding Domain Controller). Sometimes this step take 2 seconds to complete, other times it can take 90 seconds to complete. Step 1, Radius authentication, is almost instant in all cases.
Can anyone describe the process followed by the Cisco client at this stage. For example, is the Cisco client still involved at this stage or is it just monitoring what is effectively a 'normal' Windows domain logon??
Can Cisco maybe give guidance here?
