Multicast and WMM QoS queues

Hello! Could anyone please help me understand how autonomous APs prioritize multicast traffic when QoS is enabled?

I understand that multicast is transmitted without WMM information in the 802.11 frame. Does that mean that internally multicast packets are using best effort or background WMM queue with whatever backoff timers are configured for it? Or they are in a separate "legacy" queue with no way to change timers? I'm using 1262 AP IOS 12.4(25d)JA1.

The task I'm trying to solve is to assign the highest priority for certain multicast packets when transmitting to WGB. I'm aware of Reliable Multicast setting, but it does not seem to work with 5 GHz (the AP crashes as soon I enable it). I have input QoS policy to set CoS value.

I would appreciate any help or information on this topic. Thanks!

Eduard

Reliable Multicast is not supported on 5Ghz:

The following link may help you, it gives examples on how to configure QOS policies for voice or video traffic, you may be able to modify to your needs.
