NCS Transition Help

I have NCS already set up on one IP address and I need to move all the controllers, etc over to the new NCS. Is there any way to back-up the configuration from the old NCS, and restore it on the new one, or do I have to migrate everything over one piece at a time? Someone said something about finding the snmp community strings and then creating the new controllers from those but I'm not sure how to do this or if this will work.

What version of NCS are you using?

Are you hoping to backup and transfer everything, or just certain things (such as just maps and controllers, but not users or reports)?

Have you considered using the database backup and restore? This document may be helpful:
