Gurus,
I have several 7921's that I use, connected to 1130 AP's. My 7921's only get about 10 feet of range once outside, and I need to increase that.
Can you all recommend an outdoor AP that I can mount on the building outside wall, so my phones will get better range?
Thanks,
-Michael

1250 or 1260.

Unified (lightweight) or Autonomous?
Mesh is the only AP I know of that can be mounted outside with no special enclosures that is dual band....
But if your voice deployment is B/G only, and/or you are autonomous, you could consider the 1310's if that product is still alive.
Other than that, as Leolaohoo said, you could stick a 1260 outside, but you'd need a NEMA enclosure for it...

Thanks for clarifying that. My APs are all autonomous (I only have a few).
It looks like the 1310's are still easy to get, I'm going to look at that I think. The 1260 is cheaper, but I think for the moment I'm going to try to stary away from having to mount something in an enclosure.

Just be wary that the 1260 requires external antenna and will support a maximum of -6 dBi while the 1250 can support higher gain antenna.

Great, thank you for the info!

In regards to the 1500 series, VoWLAN is best effort support only.
