We got some new AP's for a IDF we just installed. I changed the VLAN's on the ports for the AP's and my DHCP server shows the AP's but how do I add them into the WLC to be available to my users? We have a WLC and NCS. I think I can add it to either but I just cannot figure it out. I dont see the new AP's listed on the WLC anywhere.

I will add that when this was originally setup we never got option 43 to work on the DHCP server so the vendor must have used a work around even though the DHCP server on our AD server does provide the ip.

Hi,
1.) We have a WLC and NCS. I think I can add it to either but I just cannot figure it out.
>> We can only add the APs to WLC. NCS is to monitor/manage WLCs and APs.
2.) how do I add them into the WLC to be available to my users?
>> See if the doc at this link helps you to get the APs registered to the WLC : http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/4400-series-wireless-lan-controllers/99948-lap-notjoin-wlc-tshoot.html
Thanks & Regards,

I cannot tell if the WLC is doing the discovery or not. This guide is not helping me much. I never have had to deal with this WLC before so I should have mentioned that. This is my first attempt at the wireless setup here.
