New 5GHz Channels in UK (OFCOM)

Hi!

Can anyone from Cisco provide some insight as to when Band C (or U-NII-3) channels will become available for UK customers? I have noticed my WLCs do not support this Band yet even though the latest AireOS is installed.

The band became available for Indoor use (max 200mW, DFS) on 7th of August 2017, and in my understanding it should be a simple code change, because all new channels are already supported in US (144,149-165).

You'll need to create a TAC case. This type of question needs to go all the way up to the wireless business unit.

It's not just a "code change" but it also question the availability of APs with "-C" Regulatory Domain.
