Hi there
we have an AeroScout installation on a big campus. Some old APs (Aironet 1140) have been replaced by the Aironet 3500i APs and now there are no context aware information (location) anymore at these spots.
Does anyone know, what the problem could be. I don't believe that it is a licensing problem, or do the Aironet 3500 APs need additional licenses for context aware (additional to the standard WCS Plus and Context Aware licenses)?
Thanks a lot and best regards
Dominic

I can't think of any like that no. It would need further checking.

Should I open a TAC case?

I would say so yes. And I don't think anyone on this forum has a better idea (referring to the last 2 weeks of silence on this thread :-) )

OK I have to push the owner of the WLAN infrastructure to open a case, because we do not have any access to it. I was just the "middleman".

Hi Nicolas
I got more detailed information, so I think it is a problem of the partner engine in combination with Mobile View (AeroScout), I will open a case on their support side.
The clients and tags are all shown on the WCS for all APs (even for 3500i), so the MSE is working correctly. But the tags are not shown in the Mobile View for the new APs. Just as an information.
I will keep the post updated.

It was indeed a problem of the AeroScout partner engine, with the newest version (CLE Version 4.2.3) it works.
Best regards
