Hi
I need to propose a solution for a customer which is located at a very remote location, they have a few buildings close to each other and the idea was to have around 5 APs to cover everything that they need covered. Going with a controller is not an option due to cost, but as far as I can see, if I go with Mobility Express, I can't have APs connected via mesh? There are no cables between the buildings and we would like to use mesh. The spectrum is clean since there is nothing there.
What would be best solution for such a situation?

As per my knowledge....Mobility Express doesn't support Mesh Mode. Check this link:

Like Sandeep mentioned, ME doesn't support mesh and other features a controller would have. If cost is an issue and a small 2504 controller is out of the question, I don't think there is really a good solution with the Cisco platform. You can look at Meraki, but then there is a license renewal that might not work for you.

Hi,
the correct doc to look at http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn81mr2.html#pgfId-1319021.
It is dated Augost 2017.
Maybe it should be supported in 2019, but it is only a hope.
