Dear All,
We have recently connected a IPAD 2 in our wireless N/W, it works perfectly fine.
But when we are tyring to use its AIRPRINT function its just not detecting the HP PRINTER.
But when we connect the HP printer to a DLINK device then the IPAD is able to detect the printer and AIRPRINT is happening.
Is ther any setting on the AP or WLC ( 4400) to detect the Printer
Kindly Check
Regards,
Ranjit

Probably broadcast forward enabled and multicast setup, AirPrint uses the bonjour protocols as well.

Dear Ranjit,
Is the HP and Ipad on the same subnet? Could you specify the ip of those?

Dear Marco,
Both are on the same subnet
IP of IPAD ;--> 10.0.19.49/24
IP of Printer ;---> 10.0.19.69 /24
the IPAD is not able to detect the printer in wireless setting

Could you please verify the Cisco WLC configuration? Let me know in private if you want mp@marcoprovenza.com

Dear Blakekrone ,
You are absolutely right; we just enabled Multicast on the cisco AP and it started working.
