I have Verizon FiOS at home. When I run speedtest on my LG G2 phone with wireless turned on, just up the steps from my wireless Actiontec router (running CAT 6 and not BNC), I get ~1 Mb/s up and ~1Mb/s down though I have the 5/15 plan. When I turn off wireless traversing my T-Mobile 4G LTE network I run speed test again. I get 8Mb/s down and 2 Mb/s up.
My wifi analyzer reveals a few neighbors and a roku box on channel 11 and one device with low signal on Channel 1 so I set the actiontec to channel 1.
The other devices in the home are a Toshiba laptop 3 years old (with a Cisco USB wireless adapter, Apple iPhone 6 plus, Apple Ipad v2, wireless Brother All in One Laser printer and Apple TV.
I want to upgrade my actiontec to something beefier to take full advantage of my wireless service. What should I buy?
Also, how do I optimize my wireless situation?
