Hi everybody,

I'm implementing an outdoor "bridge" in WiFi.

I explane:

I have a 5.4GHz of backbone, then a router wich finish in a RJ45 cable (all for an XDSL). I must to use a Cisco Aironet product to bring the 802.11g protocol from the technical building to the farm building (about 20 meter).

I need a product "wather proof" (IP70 or Hi) and my signal must to go to the other side of a 25Cm deckhouse Wall.

I'm thinkin about an AIRONET 1100, 1130 or 1200....

On Datasheets i don't see any information about the Weather resitance (IPxx) or "wall penetration" pontentials...

Can someone help me to choice an appropriate Appliance?

TKS a lot!

Actually, there are several factors to be considered especially while deploying wireless network bulding to building.

Some important factors are:

1. RF interference(water drops in trees will absorb the 2.4 GHZ signal if used).

2. Fresnel zone

3. Line of Sight

4. Antenna used.

5. Transmit power and receiver sensitivity etc.

These documents explains these factors.
