Packet capture from AP, AireOS

Is it possible to create a pcap file from a AP in sniffer mode directly to the WLC?

I've have a 8500 controller.

No it isn't.

the only way is to send the packets to any server (laptop, desktop, server), save the capture and then use the excellent converter for linux from Thomas Liske to get a .pcap file:
