The user timeout is used in situations where a client might drop out from its associated lightweight access point (LAP) without notifying the LAP. This might occur if the battery goes dead on the client. In such cases, this timeout setting tells the controller how long to wait for the particular wireless client before it deauthenticates the client and cleans up memory, etc. If the controller receives a packet from the client, it resets this timer and continues operation with the client.
