Does placing AP's on maps assist CPI with RRM or CleanAir?

No it doesn't. Because you might have AP's placed in the wrong locations or maybe not even have some of the AP's placed.

Hi Jason,
those Maps are just for reference. The RRM calculation and CleanAir is based on the infromation by the APs.
The Maps are just flat bitmaps by default without any information regarding the RF environment.
You can implement those information by creating RF obstacles ... but the RF environment is a very dynamical environment. Desks could be moved, walls move, plants grows, peolple are movin in and out,... Those parameter you will never get catched into a bitmap.
Yes you can create Heatmaps of the location but those are not mirroring ther real world, unless you define all RF obstacles on that map - which is nearly impossible.
The more "realistic" you define those RF obstacles, the more you take benefit of the services that uses the Maps.
Cheers,
Stefan
