Hello, we have brand new out of the box Cisco APs 1702i not joining the Cisco WLC 2504 version 8.0.121.0. Below are the AP's that I'm referring to.

Base Mac                 AP EthernetMac        AP Name             IP Address      Status
00:35:1a:8e:84:04        N A                           N A                      0.0.0.0         Not Joined
00:c1:64:cf:a8:94         N A                 AP00c1.64cf.a894     10.x.x.90     Not Joined
00:c8:8b:a8:ac:14        N A                AP00c8.8ba8.ac14     10.x.x.174   Not Joined
13:ee:64:20:00:00       N A                            N A                  10.x.x.91     Not Joined

Below is also the message from the debug capwap that I've ran.

*spamApTask0: Mar 31 15:14:26.452: 00:35:1a:8e:84:04 Received LWAPP DISCOVERY REQUEST to ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff on port '1'
debug capwap events enable*spamApTask0: Mar 31 15:14:26.452: 00:35:1a:8e:84:04 Discarding discovery request in LWAPP from AP supporting CAPWAP

I've read some discussions from this forum that the firmware version of the WLC needs to be upgraded to version 8.1.102.0 for it to be fixed. I'm just wondering if someone with the same version that we have experienced the same issue before we're going to do an upgrade.

I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light with this issue.

Thanks in advance.
