Cannot get more than 40 percent connecion power even when directly under the AP. Using Cisco CB21AG-A-K9 cards in Toshiba M4400 tablet. We set the cards to use the A radio at 5220Mhz CH 4 transmit power of 11dBm The A radio is a Air-RM22A. Do not understand why I cannot get better reception from this AP.

Interference and noise could cause reduced signal strength. Try changing the channel on the access point .

Thanks,
Sorry for the delay. Had already looked at that and believe that the AC unit above the area may have been causing some problems, however, moved AP's and still getting same problem.???????

Are you using the right antenna, if you are using a 2.4 antenna this may cause the problem. check the this reference for the proper antenna. the 2.4 and 5.8 rubber ducks look very similar.

Also make sure the antennas are in the correct connectors. If the Ap's are pretty high up, you will have a weaker signal directly under the AP.
