Can we do proactive monitoring using PI 3.8, So that we can mitigate issues before it happens.

 - It is difficult to define that for any network management tool. But there is a tradeoff , using one keeps centralized logs , for instance and alerting. So then initially the act of monitoring alerts and logs become part of proactive monitoring.

As for any alerting tool, use the default and then at a later time review what is important to you and what’s not. You can always change the severity of an alert. This is something you just need to look into, have patience and tinker around. There is a lot of things you can do, but with so many things, it takes time to figure it out.
