I have a ISR 2811 with NME-AIR-WLC6-K9 WLAN controller. I have problem booting the WLAN controller. When I try to have an access to the module (service-module Integrated-service-engine 1/0 session), it keep rebooting with the message : Booting from Secure primary boot loader..., please wait. I enter the ServicesEngine boot-loader (***) and I try to boot with chainloader this is what I got : -------------------------------------- got meta list size: 1, 28, 75, 249 in grub_open: (hd0,1)/boot/grub/menu.lst unable to open file: (hd0,1)/boot/grub/menu.lst in grub_open: (hd0,1)+1 in boot func: kt: 0 Unable to boot image ------------------------------------------ I try to boot with secondary Image and I got the same thing. Finaly I try the boot helper with a tftp server and the image : AIR-WLCM-K9-5-1-151-0.aes and it said, the file was download but it said : ----------------------------------------- ServicesEngine boot-loader> boot helper nw_boot: 0 AIR-WLCM-K9-5-1-151-0.aes Me: 192.168.50.222, Server: 172.24.48.188, Gateway: 192.168.50.254 Loading AIR-WLCM-K9-5-1-151-0.aes Dbg: Final image size: 46460908 bryce_load_cisco_chain_load: 1 0 cisco_cl_addr: 0x10019c0 bryce_load_cisco_chain_load: 1 1 loader_addr: 0x1200000 Cisco BootLoader start verify_netboot_img Invalid signature hdr imgaddr[0]: 0x2, imgaddr[1]: 0x??????<4, Ä imgaddr[2]: 0x??????>?, ï imgaddr[3]: 0x18, imgaddr[4]: 0x0, imgaddr[5]: 0x0, imgaddr[6]: 0x0, imgaddr[7]: 0x18, imgaddr[8]: 0x2, imgaddr[9]: 0x??????<4, Ä imgaddr[10]: 0x??????>?, ï imgaddr[11]: 0x24, $ imgaddr[12]: 0x0, imgaddr[13]: 0x0, imgaddr[14]: 0x0, imgaddr[15]: 0x0, imgaddr[16]: 0x0, imgaddr[17]: 0x0, imgaddr[18]: 0x0, imgaddr[19]: 0x28, ( imgaddr[20]: 0x45, E imgaddr[21]: 0x78, x imgaddr[22]: 0x65, e imgaddr[23]: 0x63, c imgaddr[24]: 0x75, u Corrup ----------------------------- And it keeps rebooting... The compactflash of the NME-AIR-WMC6 have been removed and replaced. How can I reinstall the correct boot image ??? thanks Emile Archambault

If you're hitting the grub prompt, the easiest answer is going to be to RMA the device.

You can install the correct boot image in an empty flash, by assiging the IP address to the service port. But for this you will require a special image which the TAC may b able to provide

Nikhil,
This is possible, so long as the engineer knows where to get the three files, how to upload them, and most importantly that it works. I've recovered a couple of them with the three file upgrade in my tenure, and i've seen it not work as well.

Steve,
"so long as the engineer knows where to get the three files, how to upload them, and most importantly that it works"
I agree with this completely.
I have tried just once, and found it working.

No ti get the files you have to open a TAC case and have them Special File Publish them.
