Problem connecting an AP to DSLAM/ADSL modem

Hello,

1/ Our old configuration was :

Router C1750 – Switch C2950 – AP1200.

The configuration works fine, was able to access the wireless network, I was able to ping and telnet from my router to the AP.

2/ We are trying to expand the wireless coverage via the following configuration :

Router C1750 – Switch C2950 – DSLAM – non-cisco – ADSL Modem – AP1200.

In this case we are not able to ping/telnet the AP from the router neither the to access the wireless network.

The problem is that when we put instead the AP a simple PC with an IP Add + Netmak + Default Gateway, the ping and connectiviy are OK.

I would like just to note that the VLANs (management and trafic) are stopped at the switch level where they are transported via 2 PVCs over the DSLAM-ADSL till the AP or PC.

Any help, Thx in advance

AP is a device which is used to bridge between the wired network and wireless network. Have given 2 IP address for the AP, usually the IP address will be given to the int BVI . If you have two IP address pinging the other will not be possible. Since you can ping the PC connected to the same interface it must ping to the AP too. try Sh arp in AP , whether its resolving the mac address , then compare this result with the PC .
