Problem with Cisco AnyConnect VPN connection.

Having a VPN connection problem with 1 laptop. It runs Cisco AnyConnect and uses the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Virtual Miniport Adapter For Windows x64.

The following error keeps appearing when trying to connect: " AnyConnect was not able to establish a connection to the specified secure gateway... "

I've tried the following to correct this issue and nothing has worked:

1.) Uninstalled, and reinstalled, the Cisco AnyConnect client.

2.) Ensured that ICS(Internet Connection Sharing) was disabled.

3.) Checked the registry to ensure the " Value data " for the Edit String under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\vpnva displayed the correct value.

4.) Under Device Manager, checked to see if there was an updated driver for the AnyConnect driver and there wasn't one.

5.) Checked for an updated wireless network adapter, but there wasn't one.

Noticed that 3 times, the adapter disabled itself because I had to select " Enable " to re-enable it.

Any ideas as far as resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If it's a client issue, you'd probably have to install and run DART to get better troubleshooting logs.

If it's a headend issue, doing a debug webvpn anyconnect would give you a better idea what's happening.

You didn't say what AnyConnect version you're running, but a new one came out yesterday.  Perhaps its a bug -- check the release notes.
