You can convert the AP to autonomous.  Use the following process:  Using a TFTP Server to Return to a Previous Release

my main problem is that the AP does not have an IP Address and I am not able to give it an IP address

because the IOS running on it does not have any conf terminal options... also I don't own any kind of cisco WLAN controller so I Am clueless on how can I give it an ip address...

thank you for your reply

cheers

Riccardo

When you do the mode button recovery it will assign itself an address. It's all documented in the link Leo posted

Thank you i will try it

the link posted anyway requires a MIT ISA server 2006 username and password... and I do not have them of course.

cheers

Here are some other links you can use. You can also search on the Internet LWAPP to Autonomous

What are document are you reading????

The link I've posted will TAKE YOU DIRECTLY to the proceedure to convert your AP to autonomous with the least amount of intervention and configuration.  If you scroll up and down, you'll get out of topic.

I have posted that link many times already and I've yet to see someone get "lost".
