Good day, Cisco Community.
Hey... It might be a bit obvious...
But could someone explain the purpose of AP admin status: enabled or disabled?
Also, could you tell me what the purpose of showing the # slots on the Access Points configuration page of a 9800 controller?
Ahead, thank you for your support.
Kind regards
Eliot

To add to what Marce said:
When you disable the AP the radios are shutdown - the AP will stop offering service to wireless clients.
You can still configure/administer the AP though.
Typically (with some variation in later APs with multiple and varied radio options):
Slot 0 = 2.4GHz radio
Slot 1 = 5 GHz radio
Slot 2 = 6 GHz radio
In models with XOR radios (which can be switched between bands) that can obviously vary.
So, for example, in a 9120 Slot 0 can be changed from 2.4 to 5 GHz radio so that the AP has 2 x 5 GHz radios.

Enabled means that the AP becomes operational in the wireless network (default)
The slots are referring to the radio interfaces of an access point.
