We are looking to replace not so perfectly working WAP4410Ns. We have a possibility to get either 1140 (AIR-AP1141N-A-K9), 1130 (AIR-LAP1131AG-E-K9) or 1130AG (AIR-LAP1131AG-A-K9) for a fairly discounted price.
Now, since it's a possibility, I wanted to check how that would work. If I understand Aironet units require Lan Controllers, now are these only specific devices (ie the ones on Cisco website) or does any router work with these just like WAP4410Ns do?
Thanks

both of those AP can run in autonomous mode as well as lightweight. You'll want to order either the AP1142N, or the AP1130, and not the LAP version
If you are wanting to keep the N rates, you want to get the Air-AP1142N.

If budget is a factor, the 1042 is also a good candidate. It's not as costly as the 1142.
