Ramifications of using Regulatory Domain B (USA) in Mexico (N) for Autonomous AP's

Hi All,

I have a site in Mexico that I am ordering equipment for from a US vendor.  Part of that equipment is 1702 Access Points.  However, the regulatory domain for those AP's in the US is "B."  Mexico uses regulatory domain "N."  My vendor is based in the US, and cannot sell Cisco access points with any regulatory domains other than "B."

Is it possible to use regulatory domain B access points in Mexico with consistent and reliable service, or will it be subject to instability and unpredictable behavior, making it more advantageous to purchase these AP's from a Mexican vendor so that they have regulatory domain N?

Hi

Maybe the correct advice is buy it according your country but technically will work. Specially if you are deploying indoor network.

I've seen US regulatory domain in different country with no issue.

The AP is running autonomous IOS. There is no "ramnification".
