I am trying to do the same with a Cisco AP 3800 Series and having a problem with it tagging back to the cisco 3850 controller. I am running mobility express and it just wont route them down the proper vlans. Wonder if I could get a example how to implement this. I am so frustrated.
I have vlans 2,3,5,10
I need one called AP1 on vlan 2
another called phone on vlan 3
another called camera on vlan5
and another called admin on vlan10 ?!
I want the managmement to also be on VLAN10
But it seems it only pulls traffic from vlan10 on the managment interface I am beyond frustrated!!!

@thaliamontreux I've moved your post to a new thread because you seem to be mixing up a few different things which make this different to the original (old) post in the subject line. Please provide a detailed description of your setup and what you're trying to achieve?
A few notes:
- The original post was about Mobility Express which is exclusively Flexconnect Local Switching so no client traffic is switched via the controller. You are talking about tagging back to a 3850 controller. It has to be one or the other - you cannot run Mobility Express and a controller.
- For mobility express you tag the VLAN on the AP directly. The AP port is a trunk port with those VLANs configured and allowed so the traffic exits the AP directly from the WLAN into the assigned VLAN, never routed to the controller over CAPWAP.
- 3850 controller ("Converged Access") is end of life and end of support. Cisco abandoned it because it was a bit of a disaster. Suggest you either run Mobility Express with 8.10.196.0 code on your AP or use 9800-CL if you want an IOS-XE controller. If you use the controller then the AP should be in CAPWAP mode connected to the controller then you have the choice of Flexconnect Local Switching or Central Switching (via the controller).

- If you search you'll find plenty of videos and examples on setting up ME.
