Hello,
Is there anyway that I can plug the cisco console port into 1 dedicated VLAN then have my PC plugged into that same VLAN then open console session with console cable + hyperterminal/putty? I'm having a problem with my cisco devices (APs) which aren't at one location but want to remote to their console sessions. Hope my question makes sense. Thanks.

no, that's not possible as the console is not using ethernet. What you are looking for is a console-server. They are available as standalone appliances or are often older IOS-routers with Async interfaces.

Well console port always use for initials device configuration after that we don't ever use console because every thing is done via telnet/ssh/https.
For your case the answer is "NO" console can never be bind to any vlan. Furthermore you can remotely configure AP using three options.
1- AP comes with default ip with user admin, you can use it from remote location unless http/https is not disabled.
2- Configure simple ip address for AP via console if you want to assign specific ip [Any one can do with basic knowledge] after that you can telnet/ssh/https from remote side.
3- If you are using WLC then it becames more easy because controller assign ip via dhcp and you can config all AP from controller interface .
Note: Remember for initial configuration always use native vlan for APs ,after you are done with all configuration then put it to any vlan you desire .
