Hi all
We have a new client with an existing wireless network (all Cisco). They had a few areas where the signal was poor and running cables was not an option. We have supplied three 2600's and set them up as repeaters but there is still one area that isnt covered. The furthest away repeater from the parent AP's will only connect to the nearest repeater (one of the new 2600's) but any client devices that connect to this AP do not get an IP address from the router. clients connecting the the other two repeaters are ok. If i give my laptop a static address when connected to this AP i have internet access so the connectio is there, just no DHCP.
Any idea's?
Thanks in advance.

Well it might be the connection back since all repeater cut the the throughput in half. If you have a WLC you should do indoor mesh instead of repeaters. Is this autonomous or do you have a WLC.

I've only had one hop when I have done repeaters in the past. The performance was bad just with one that adding or trying to add another repeater connected to another repeater wouldn't work in my situation. Have you tried to put the other repeater closer just to test?

I havent tried moving it closer. I spent my time on site trying to possition the AP so it connects to one of the wired APs but i cant quite find a spot that connects and gives the coverage i need. I am going on site shortly to see what else i can do. any other suggestions?
the performance connecting to one of the repeaters isnt too bad for what they need.. its a hotel guest network so its just general internet access.
