I am working with a set of four 4402-50 controllers all running 4-0-219-0. The customer decided they did not want the Secondary and Tertiary controller settings configured on the AP so I am attempting to clear that information but I can't seem to do it. No matter what I change it to the settings stay the same. Even if I reset the AP to factory default, when it comes back up it does so with the secondary and tertiary controllers set. It clears out all the other configuration info, such as the primary controller, the name, radio settings, location, etc. It just won't get rid of the secondary and tertiary info. Has anyone seen this behavior?
I've tried setting it back to default through the CLI on the controller and through the web interface on the controller.

Hi Todd,
I have seen this behaviour and I believe the only thing you can do is enter 0.0.0.0 for the controller IP address for the Secondary and Tertiary controllers.
Hope this helps!

In 4.0.219.0, you can't -- we did not allow blank string.
Unfortunately, you can't do this via CLI, even in recent code. Via GUI, however, you can.
