I would like to know if there a configurable parameter to limit the number of AP's hearing a single stanley RFID tag. Please see output below from a 5508 running 8.0.120:
(DC-5508-01) >show location ap-detect rfid DC-L2-F6F4
00:0c:cc:06:95:5c Aerosct -47 141
00:0c:cc:06:95:6f Aerosct -46 244
00:0c:cc:06:95:76 Aerosct -52 206
00:0c:cc:06:95:7a Aerosct -50 87
00:0c:cc:06:95:83 Aerosct -46 205
00:0c:cc:06:95:8b Aerosct -51 305
00:0c:cc:06:95:98 Aerosct -49 78
00:0c:cc:06:95:9b Aerosct -51 135
00:0c:cc:06:95:a0 Aerosct -47 188
00:0c:cc:06:9d:7f Aerosct -92 281
00:0c:cc:06:9d:b6 Aerosct -91 18
00:0c:cc:06:9d:eb Aerosct -80 96
00:0c:cc:06:9f:9a Aerosct -89 62
00:0c:cc:06:a2:4c Aerosct -50 149
<this list continues>
question: Is it possible to configure an RSSI threshold so the controller doesn't see rfid tags with weaker signals than the threshold? For example in the above output i would prefer not to see tags with -90 or weaker rssi values.
I have a campus with two 5508 controllers. They have a tag limit of 5000. Since both controllers can hear many of the same tags, i am therefore unable to load balance the tags across controllers and stay under the 5000 tag limit per controller.
thanks!!
