Root access broken after upgrade to PI 2.0

Hi all,

This is the error I get when invoking the root command

Stub Library could not be opened

*** libRootPatch.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ***

I noticed that a new command has been introduces next to root and root_enable which is root_disable.

I upgraded directly from PI 1.3 to PI2.0 via the upgrade package (no re-imaging of the VM)

Does anybody else have this problem and came up with a solution?

Regards,

Patrick

Surely you shouldn't need to be invoking Root as a matter of course? That's why they hide it!

(Root patch frequently changes with software version, you probably need a new one from TAC)

Root access was provided with PI 1.3 per default. The commands were there as well. No additional installtion of a root patch was required.

When they want to hide access, then why introducing an additional command?

Guess a TAC case needs to be opened.

Regards,

Patrick

A fresh install of the PI 2.0 OVA enabled root access again. Guess there is either something wrong with the upgrade package or the upgrade procedure from 1.3 to 2.0 fouled up.

Regards,

Patrick
