Root Access Points MAC-FLAP issue

Hi All,

I am facing an issue with the Cisco Mesh wireless deployment. We have around 45 Root AP's and 43 Mesh AP's and are split between 4 to 6 root AP's in each IDF. The issue is that though the Root Ap's are directly connected using fiber cable. I am always facing issue with the AP getting deregistered from the controller.

I have identified that the issue is mainly due to the AP's not getting the IP Addresses. where the dhcp pool gets exhausted due to too many DHCP ip conflicts. Once i clear them they get the IP addresses and eventually get registered with the WLC.

Now i can also see too many MAC flaps occurring with  the Root AP's mac addresses. The MAC address of any random Root AP is learned with a different Root AP's interface and the MAC_FLAP mesages are being generated.

This is causing the AP's to be unstable and MAP's always get deregistered along with the RAP's. Please help.

Thanks,

Arjun T P
