We have a 4402 with S/W 3.2.150.6 and want to upgrade to 4.0.217.0 to match other controllers. We use APs which were converted to LWAP. My concern is, will the WLC 'forget' the self signed certificates it got when the APs were converted?

Hi George,
What AP's are you talking about? 1230?

They are AP1220 which were hardware upgraded by replacing the radio card (P/N AIR-MP21G-A-K9) which makes them AP1231G.
We also had to convert them from VxWorks to Cisco IOS then convert them to LWAP.

Certificates, self-signed or otherwise, should not be a problem for your upgrade. You can always create new self-signed certs on the controller and the AP's after the upgrade.
Be sure and read the release notes and ensure that your APs are supported in the newer release, and that the Open Caveats will not cause problems for you.
