Check your cable too:

George wrotes already the right default console settings..you could try flow control Xon/xoff too if nothing is working..

Or somebody changes the default settings..

Hi,

Try opening with Hyperterminal and while using that, restore default the conection with Baud rate as 9600 and etc and lemme know if we are still facing the issue..

Wats the console cable that we are using??

I'm using a blue rollover cable(RJ45-db9 sesrial), even copying the ios into the AP is an issue, it keeps timing out :-(

make sure that you are plugging the console cable in the console port since both ethernet and console are RJ45

After that then it should work, if you are using a USB to serial adapter, make sure it works with other netwoek device, if possible test it with another AP.

once connected, make sure you reload the AP with power supply and you should at least see someoutput.

How are you performing the IOS upgrade?

Confirm your serial session settings:

Bits per second (baud rate): 9600

Data bits: 8

Parity: none

Stop bits: 1

Flow control: none
