Is there an easy way to retrieve the serial numbers from Aironet access points other than climbing into a ceiling and reading the serial number off the unit itself. Can I find it somewhere by using a command?

For AP 1200s--Telnet/SSH into the AP, do a "show version" and look for "Top Assembly Serial Number" near the bottom.

Did you ever get an answer on this? As i'm trying to do the samething...

With the BR350 and earlier bridges/Ap's you are stuck with physically checking the devices printed label. with the 1231's and above that information is available in the software on the software configuration page in the GUI or performing a SH VER in the CLI.
