Hi,
I just bought a AP1142N and I'm trying to configure it for my company. All documents I can find on Cisco websites explain how to do it with WIndows and a COM Port but we're all working on Mac laptops without COM port.
I've tried to connect the RJ45 console port to my MacBookPro using an Ethernet to mini-display port connector but how can I then connect to the AP interface (web or console)?
The AP will be connected using ethernet to our ISP box (a french Livebox) and what I'd like to do is to change its Wifi SSID and password.
Any idea on how I can do that on MacOS?
Thanks a lot !
Rémi

Hi, I've bought an USB adaptor (https://www.amazon.fr/Cisco-C%C3%A2ble-Console-S%C3%A9rie-P%C3%A9riph%C3%A9rique/dp/B06Y51HSC5/ref=pd_ybh_a_5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=JDYWWP5DVSRZJB4TRBR3) but when I connect it to my mac, I do not have anything in /dev/*usb*
I've also tried the "Serial"tool that was presented in the comment section but it does not work either : the terminal remains empty after connecting to the USB port :(
Any other idea ? :(
