Sorry about the first post...

I just brought up the 350 Aironet and I am sitting about 2 feet away. My signal strength is Fair running about 30%. I walked about 20 feet away and I lost the signal. Can anyone tell me why this could happen? and How do I fix it ?

By the way. I am running the "rugged" version. I do not have any atennas on it, because my Cisco Rep told me I don't need it. Is this true ?

thanks in advance

You may not need one two feet away. You probably need one twenty feet away. You should have an antenna, either integral or add-on, because it's radio.

I am running some 342 bridges and know you can change the output level on them. You would definitely need an antenna and you should get a lot higher throughput being only 2 feet away. I would think you would be in the 100 percent range at that distance with antennas.

Ok I tried to use the custom setting under Optimize Radio Network For:....now the problem is it won't save under the custom, it keeps going back to throughput...Is it running at 100mw ? Where can I see what it's running at ?

Look on the AP Radio/Hardware page.
