Hi all,
just a question about my Cisco aironet 1140 Series Access Point, is it possible activate simultaneous both frequency 802.11a and 802.11g radio to permit some clients to connect to 802.11a and other clients to connect 802.11g? In your opinion is it possible that this situation can survive simultaneous without any problems?
Advantages?
Disadvantages?
Many thanks

yes A and G works together without any problem!!
Advantages and Dis..

AFAIK, there is no problem.. Disadvantage may be a client supporting both the radios may hop around but very rarely.. advantage that i can think of is, client with only A or Only G can alo connect to respective radios.. and by using A radio, this has more non over lapping channels..
Lemme know if this answered ur question and please dont forget to rate the usefull posts.

Hi,
thanks for your reply, but in this configuration i need to setup all the non-overlapping channel of both frequency range, correct?

if you do it then well and good.. else default settings or least congested will do the Job!!
