Site to Site with only 5 users

I need to connect 5 wireless users on a remote site which is 100m away from the main building. Can I use 2 Wireless Bridges (AIR-BR350-E-K9 with AIR-ANT1729 6dBi antennas), setting the remote site bridge to act as an access-point.

It seems an overkill to use an AP for the remote site with only 5 wireless users.

AIR-ANT1729 is Indoor, unobtrusive, medium-range antenna for AP but may also be used as a medium-range bridge antenna..100m distance should not be a problem with a clear line of sight..

So taking that the Bridge and Antennas are correct, can I configure the remote bridge to also act as the AP for the remote users?

Would the other option be to use 2 APs with the AIR-ANT1729 and have one as root and the other as repeater?

Yes if you use Two AP , one in root mode and other in repeater mode , it will also work .Keep in mind repeater reduces the throughput by half .

So you have following choices

a)

Bridge in Ap mode -Antenna ------RF ------Patch antenna Clients

b) Lan ---Br ( root) ---antenna ------antenna BR(non root ) --AP ----Clients

c) AP ( root ) ---Antenna -------AP ( repeater ) ---Clients

d) Ap ( root ) ----Antenna ----RF -----Clients

Now which design to use it depends on

a) Actual Site Survey ( will help to decide type of antenna )

b) How much scalable you need

c) Is there any line of sight between client and AP / bridge

I have seen all of the above design working but personally I prefer

design b , it involves more hardware but scalable and reliable

I've been following the post here and wanted to ask if your users at the remote site on a wired segment or wireless. If they are wired, you will need to use a WGB and either an AP or Bridge. AP < - > AP will leave the Ethernet port disabled on the AP configured as the repeater.
