Specifying named authorization in Catalyst 9800

Please consider the following statement from here:

Without defining any named authorization method list, how does the RADIUS client reach the RADIUS server to send its authorization request? Really confused...

  - Clients don't send authorization requests only the 9800 ; for starters review any configuration you have on the controller with the CLI command show tech wireless and feed the output to : Wireless Config Analyzer
              It will point out mistakes in this context too ,
