Hi Everyone,

I want to learn some information related to AP migration from Cisco WLC 5508 to Cisco 9800-CL(GCP)

First Question

When I checked the documentations about 9800, Cisco first suggest to disable SSC Hash Validation on AireOs contoller,

Has anyone tried to disable this feature? Does it cause any outage for other APs?

Because we will do the migration location by location, it will take 3 months,  I don't want to cause a general outage on controller.

Second,

Has Anyone migrated the APs from AireOS to Cisco 9800?

Which steps did you follow?

I'm planning to try to change High Availability config on the AP, and then I will restart the AP.

and I also want to change DHCP option 43 value on DHCP server.

Which method did you use? Can you suggest me what way you had chosen?

Also what tips can you give me about this process?

Mehmet

I can only see that issue as  being 'local' to AireOs and less related to the migration project. The rest of the steps you mention are ap-client related and look good, more challenging could be to convert the controller configurations, for that you have for instance :
