I have 1 root access point, 3 repeaters. all seems to work fine using it with Rf Scanners.

i have wep running but i have the SSID on broadcast, when i disable this feature i loose 2 repeaters(cannot ping them)Checking the root access point everything appears OK But.......

on 1 of the repeaters i get this message

Failed Reassociation, status "Can Not Support All Requested Capabilities"

any advice???

Has any one seen this before??

thanks

Darren

Usually that means that either the PC Card radio firmware or the PC Card driver does not support a feature requested by the AP. Most commonly it refers to MIC, TKIP or broadcast key rotation which require recent radio firmware and may not work with non-Cisco clients or old-firmware clients. Details will depend on a feature, for example a card may completely fail to associate or a feature may stay inactive, but with connectivity still working.

The general recommendaion would be to check if all PC Cards have latest firmware and drivers to support certain feature. The newest version available from CCO is a wizard which does all that automatically - ie. driver, ACU and firmware upgrade.
