Supported Country Codes - where does it come from?

Hi all,

I have two questions regarding Cisco's list of 'Supported Country Codes': https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/wcs/3-2/configuration/guide/wcscfg32/wcscod.html

1. How does Cisco set this list? (Does Cisco access some sort of international repository that lists allowed frequencies/ power limits, etc. for each country? Or does Cisco simply get this from the individual country's regulators? )

2. Why doesn't Cisco support Myanmar's country code in the 5.725 - 5.825 GHz band?

Thanks.

The list is came from the US FCC.
That question needs to be directed at the Myanmar telecommunications regulatory body.

Can you share the FCC url for this list?

These are set by each agency responsible for controlling the RF spectrum in each country. In the US its the FCC, Europe its ETSI.

From the looks of it you would need to confirm with the Myanmar Ministry of Transport and Communications, around what channels/ Frequencies are supported.

The country codes also control the max transmit power for the AP

I can not see Cisco having any AP models in the Myanmar Regulatory domain, so there is a possibility that they fall under a different country code: https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/assets/prod/wireless/wireless-compliance-tool/index.html

If you have one ask you Cisco Account Manager or SE, as they will be more region based so should know for sure what to use.
