Hi,

I know if you want to enter priviledged mode of Cisco access points, first of all you need to "debug capwap console cli" on CLI then enter configure terminal command. but i couldn't find this command and when I google searched for any alternative, I could'nt find any thing. I would very appreciate for any help.

Also default IOS version is "C2700 Software (AP3G2-RCVK9W8-M), Version 15.3(3)JA3".

And if I want to reset anything to factory settings, how can I do?

BR,

Normally it should work.

Did you tried like this :

AP002#conf t
          ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

AP002#debug capwap console cli
This command is meant only for debugging/troubleshooting
Any configuration change may result in different
behavior from centralized configuration.

CAPWAP console CLI allow/disallow debugging is on
AP002#
AP002#
AP002#
AP002#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.
AP002(config)#

Thanks,

As I said before, I tried "debug capwap console cli" but nothing changed.

Is there another way for doing this?

When booting up a 1530, 1700, or a 2700 series AP for the first time, it will boot up with a unified mode software image. To deploy the AP in an autonomous network, use following command from the AP console or telnet to force AP to reboot using autonomous mode software image.
capwap ap autonomous

Thanks for your response,

Yes, I know they will bootup with aunifeid mode software and ready for joining to WLC.

I dont want to configure them in autonomous mode.

as I see, there is no way go to priviledged mode in WLC-ready mode, for 2700 series AP. Is it correct?

And if I want to do some settings on them, Should I first change to autonomous mode and do my configuration, then rollback to WLC-ready mode?

BR,

Hi,

I am using 2702 AP and can go in config mode after using "debug capwap console cli" command.

Silly Question: Why you want to go in priviledged mode ?

Regards

Hi,

Good for you, because there is no "debug capwap console cli" command for me at all.

what I want to do, is kind of silly, bucause anything i want to do is practical through WLC.

But I want to know what is wrong for me?

I had a Cisco 1161 AP and with issuing "debug capwap console cli" I could go to priviledged mode.

BR,

Do you have WLC ?

If yes then try to connect AP to WLC (AP will download the required image from WLC)

Later you can check again if its working or not.
