Moving physical WLC connections from one switch to another

Good morning,

Forgive me as I am still learning WLC environments. I need to move the physical cabling connecting my WLC from one switch to another. Will that cause the WAPs (mixture of local and flexconnect) to reassociate with the controller and will any connected clients be disconnected from their wi-fi connections or not?

I have the new switchport already configured and the new cabling run. It would onl be offline for the amount of time it takes me to unplug the old cables and plug in the new.

Thank you!

Hi David,

As per my experience, yes it will take few minutes to rejoin all APs to WLC after a small outage(Remove cables from old ports and connect to new port).

Regards
