I've been told by a lot of IT pros that nobody goes for the wireless exam because there arent a lot of jobs available for CCIE Wireless engineers. I love wifi and would love to join the exclusive ccie wireless club. I also dont want to put the blood sweat and tears into something that wont pay off in the long run. What are you guys opinions?

"I've been told by a lot of IT pros that nobody goes for the wireless exam because there arent a lot of jobs available for CCIE Wireless engineers."
Have you spoken with any CCIE wireless engineers about it. They can tell you the true story.
"I love wifi and would love to join the exclusive ccie wireless club."
For me that is a valid reason why you should go for it. You need to have clear objective why you are pursuing a CCIE. You have to enjoy this journey, not the final outcome of CCIE number.
Any CCIE journey will teach you lot of other qualities (time management, persistence, patience, confidence, etc) that I think that should be given more value than anything else.

I think it depends where do you live but I disagree with what they say. CCIE dont ,matter which track is highly valuable. Wireless is one the most critical areas in tech now a days, so, a CCIE Wireless will, for sure, help you a lot.
Now, only the cert is not guarantee of a good job and high salary. You need to have experience. Personally I don´t have a CCIE Wireless and sometime I think about to get one but, honestly, I don´t think I´d be better if I had.
