Time limitation for H-REAP standalone mode

Hi,

We have a customer who is evaluating a Cisco Vs. Motorla wirless solution. He says that a Motorola AP can only work in standalone mode for 48 hrs. after it lost communication to the controller. Is there any limitation like this with a 2500 controller and 1140 series access points solution?.

Is there any reference to show?

Regards

Luis Noriega

Not that I know of...but here is a link to the limitation of h-reap/FlexConnect:

Thanks,

Scott

We have different SSIDs, security, etc at various sites. We have recently started providing tech staff with preconfigured FlexConnect APs that they use for testing while staging and imaging machines for different locations. It doesn't matter if these APs are connected to the WLC or not. They function for days on end.

In some instances we have sent these out pre deployment for various testing purposes. Seems to work.

Thank you Scott.

If any time limitation exists, it should be in that document.
